What is the Mahabharat War? Happened between Pandavas and Kauravas. Lasted for 18 days Fought to gain control of the kingdom with Hastinapur as the capital

Bhagavad Gita Before the Mahabharat war started Krishna told Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna as why he should fight. Bhagavad Gita is a very important scripture for the entire humanity. It is not just a Hindu scripture.

Before the war, Dhuryodhana and Arjuna went to Krishna for help. At the time Krishna was sleeping. Dhuryodhana came first and sat near Krishna’s head. But Arjuna stood at His feet. Krishna when woke up saw Arjuna first and offered him help first.

Days 1 -4 The Kaurava army lost many soldiers. Krishna attempts to kill Bhishma with the Sudarshan Chakra. Arjuna holds Him back due to a vow he made.

Days 5 -9 Bhima kills 6 -10 of Dhuryodhana’s brothers each day raising the death toll to 24 -40. The Pandavas seek advice from Bhishma on how to slay him

Day 10 Determined to kill Bhishma the pandavas send Shikandhi against Bhishma would not fight Shikandhi because Shikandhi used to be a women. So Arjuna uses Shikandhi as a shield to kill Bhishma.

Days 11 -12 Karna enters the battlefield fighting for the Kauravas as Bhishma cannot fight.

Day 13 Arjuna's son Abhimanyu volunteers to break through the Chakravuha. He gets trapped inside and gets killed in an unfair six against one battle.

Day 14 -15 Arjuna kills Jayadratha due to vow he made. Dristhadyumna Kills Drona.

Days 16 -17 Arjuna and Karna fight a long battle. Karna dies due to curses from his Guru Parashurama.

Day 18 Dhuryodhana is killed by Bhima. The Pandavas win the war.
