Magma Types (Composition) Granitic Magma Basaltic Magma
Mineralization and types of magma
Magma Stages • Early Magmatic Stage: It is the first stage of magma generation where it is almost in the liquid phase. • Late Magmatic Stage: the main components of magma accumulated to produce the most common silicate minerals such as olivine, pyroxenes, feldspars, etc. • Pegmatitic Stage: This stage and the following stages are mainly characterized to the granitic magmas. • Pneumatolytic and Hydrothermal Stage: This stage consists mainly of a mixture from volatiles (e. g. water vapor, HF, HCl, . . ) and trace or rare components • Hot Springs and Fumaroles: Both features are characteristic to the end products of the magmatic history.
