Background information slides • Dust devils on mars form the same way they do in deserts on Earth. “You need strong surface heating so the ground can get hotter than the air around it, ” explains Lemmon, an associate research scientist in the Department of Atmospheric Science at Texas A & M University. Our group said that this graph says that these points are where Dust Devils cross craters on Mars. The trends and patterns that we observed in the graph were that most of the places were the Dust Devils crossed, were on the lower half of Mars. This is what our group observed about the graph.
