1 If the LORD had not been on our side— let Israel say— 2 if the LORD had not been on our side when men attacked us, 3 when their anger flared against us, they would have swallowed us alive; 4 the flood would have engulfed us, the torrent would have swept over us, 5 the raging waters would have swept us away. He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him. Pr 13: 24 Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish him with the rod, he will not die. Pr 23: 13
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. Ps 27: 4
