Administration • Kiwanis Kaptain – Chairman/Chairwoman • Lobster / Shrimp Committee Manage Responsibility Areas • Committee Meetings Monthly/Weekly month prior • Fliers-provide hard copies and email form to members (send introduction template to members) • Month before distribution-volunteer list at each Membership Meeting • Event Window---} Shrimp-late summer (larger available later) / Lobster-November
Delivery and Contacts For Most-ONLY CHANCE FOR FRESH SEAFOOD • SHRIMP – Garland Fulcher, Oriental, NC (Jeff Styron-contact) • Shrimp comes in 40 lb iced cardboard boxes • Have scales, volunteers for 2 -3 hour distribution window • Flier will provide care instructions and freezing instructions • LOBSTER – Atlantic Edge Lobster, Booth Bay, ME (Ed Tibbitts, owner) • Coolers required (vendor will add seaweed/damp newspapers) • 1 ¼ lb – 1 ½ lb Lobsters • Delivery/Travel costs approximately $1, 500. Lynchburg Kiwanis will “piggyback” orders on our delivery date for $1 per lobster. We’ll coordinate meeting, etc.
