What we did this summer • 15 Programs • 188 Meals • 368 Attendees
From my boss • 2 years ago, she attended a Safety Net meeting. • Only 20% of federal funds are being used during the summer. • Approached by our food bank.
What? • I gave a presentation to our foundation. • How would this all work? ? ?
Location: San Martin • In the southern part of our county, more than 50% of kids qualify for free lunch. • Easy decision to make.
The Site: San Martin Lion’s Club
Funding and Budget – Woohoo! • • Our library foundation gave us $10, 000 $500 from California State Library Reimbursable meals paid for by YMCA through federal funds. I spent $5729
Set up – Surprise clean up
Staffing • 9 am-1 pm • 1 supervisor, 1 library assistant, 1 clerk, 1 page, 1 volunteer – 5 people.
