Born • Beethoven was born in Germany

Parents • His parents were Johann and Maria Keverich

Siblings Ludwig Beethoven three siblings, Ludwig, Caspar and Nikolaus.

• Beethoven was baptied, Catholic Church on 17 December 1770

competition • During this time period Leopold Mozart had a lot of success and was known as a child prodigy.

• Beethoven's compositions were very messy unlike the other composers of his time.

• He was known as one of the most important people of his generation.

First Symphony • For his premiere of his First symphony, he staged a very detailed musical program. It included works by both Haydn and Mozart.

Loss of hearing • Beethoven was in his twenties when he lost his hearing

The Deaf Composer • He was ashamed of his disability because he didn’t think a great composer could be deaf.

The third Symphony • It was originally dedicated to Napoleon, whom Beethoven admired

Success • Soon after he became very wealthy and successful, his pieces became master pieces.

Love • He loved a woman named Fanny, they found letters from Beethoven saying “I found only one whom I shall doubtless never possess. ” – Beethoven.

• Beethoven “declared that he will again hear in heaven. ”

Death • Beethoven died in 1827 of dropsy

Death continued • His friend Anselm Hüttenbrenner, was present at the time of death said “that there was a peal of thunder at the moment he died”.

Will • He wrote in his will that his estate would go to his nephew Karl

Never be forgotten • Beethoven will live forever in his work, he will forever be known as one of the best composers of all time.
