LSU Mathematics Tiger Prep Math Summer Camp Welcome Math Majors !! Tiger Prep is a one week intensive program specifically for incoming Math majors. The program is designed to help students make the transition to the expectations of college prior to the start of the fall semester. In the program you will: o Gain important learning/study skills o Get a jump start on fall course content o Meet faculty, graduate students, and staff o Develop and improve your problem solving strategies o Take informative seminars on managing your time and money o Get to move into your dorm one week earlier than other freshmen The Tiger Prep Math Summer Camp will be held in conjunction with LSU's Encounter Engineering (E 2) program http: //www. step. eng. lsu. edu/E 2. htm The goal of this program is to increase the retention of students and thus increase the number of graduates from Science and Engineering at the University. The E 2 program has proven to be an effective tool in helping students succeed in school and achieve better grades. In partnering with E 2 we believe math students can expect similar benefits.
