LS 1 BECO Review Eugenia Hatziangeli BECO Dec
LS 1 BE-CO Review Eugenia Hatziangeli BE-CO Dec. 2015
Reasons for this Review • LS 1 was a unique time period that all CO services were in action, consolidating existing infrastructure, deploying new versions of core controls systems, APIs and applications • Identify lessons to be learnt from LS 1 to be better prepared for the future • The impact of the control changes felt important and heavy in the equipment groups and operations • How can CO better motivate the necessary upgrades/consolidations of core CO infrastructure to the sector • How can this work be decided and agreed in time for our users to prepare themselves adequately • We have also felt that certain processes and organisation tools worked well • Identify what worked well and why • How to improve the CO processes and tools in preparation for future long shutdown • We are also looking inside the CO group to ensure improvements to facilitate better the shutdown work of our developers and activity leaders
Twofold Objective • Organisation - inside the group and towards our users • Planning, follow up & communication tools • Processes • Useful external tools which we would like to continue using – possible improvements • Technical • How our technical upgrades were perceived • Planning, forewarning, impact, quality, testing; were they adequate - • • - areas to improve How could we have anticipated these upgrades better What would be an acceptable model of introducing such changes for the future Eo. L of core control components - how to plan and anticipate those with our users How a controls upgrade plan can be better integrated with the shutdown work planning of the equipment groups
BE-CO Review Expectations • From the Presenters • A list of questions/instructions were given to the presenters • Clear messages of your perceptions, concerns and expectations from BE-CO are much appreciated • Constructive critical feedback is very welcome; we would like to hear how we can improve for the future • What worked well is also important to us • From the Reviewers • A synthesis of the important points from the presentations addressing the objectives of the review • Draw recommendations for the BE-CO management on areas of improvement with their perceived importance and concrete implementable actions • The chairperson will facilitate this process
The Review Process • Semi-open Presentations Day - today • Presentations from our users, BE-CO section leaders and ACCOR organisers • Closed discussions with core reviewers – starting this Friday • Based on the presentations and objectives of this review, the reviewers should identify action points with their perceived importance • A resulting report document will be written by the chairperson and agreed by the reviewers, which the BE-CO management will use as reference for the implementation of proposed actions • A group wide presentation will be done to explain these actions and implementation plan to the BE-CO group by management
• A big thank you to the reviewers and presenters • Your time and feedback are much appreciated • We hope we will be able find concrete ways to establish a better collaborative way to proceed with control upgrades in the future
