SCRIPTURE SUMMARY Jesus tells the story of a priest, a Levite, and a man from Samaria to answer a lawyer’s question about what he needed to do to get eternal life. The priest and the Levite did not stop to help a man from their Jewish community that was robbed and badly beaten. Despite the fact that Samaritans had racial tensions with the Jews, the man from Samaria showed love to the Jewish man and did everything he could to help him. VERSE TO REMEMBER: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself. ” (Luke 10: 27)
