Loving Your Neighbor? Jn. 3: 16 -21 Introduction:
God’s Motivation For Saving Man Is Love. Jn. 3: 13 -16 God sent His Son that people might have eternal life. Jn. 3: 13 -15 13 "No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man. 14 "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; 15 so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.

Jn. 3: 19 19 "This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. Our presence smells. 2 Cor. 2: 14 -17 14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. 15 For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;

They don’t want to be reminded of their sin. 1 Pet. 4: 4 4 In all this, they are surprised that you do not run with them into the same excesses of dissipation, and they malign you; 5 but they will give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

And for what reason did he slay him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother's were righteous. 13 Do not be surprised, brethren, if the world hates you.
A Righteous Seeking Person Comes To Jesus. Jn. 3: 21 21 "But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God. " The truth seeker comes to Jesus. Jn. 5: 39 -40 39 "You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; 40 and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.
A Righteous Seeking Person Comes To Jesus. Jn. 3: 21 21 "But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God. " The truth seeker comes to Jesus. Jn. 5: 39 -40 He doesn’t hide his activity. 2 Cor. 4: 1 -2 1 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart, 2 but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God,
A Righteous Seeking Person Comes To Jesus. Jn. 3: 21 21 "But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God. Luke 19: 9 -10 We’re to hang around sinners. 1 Cor. 5: 9 -10 9 I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people; 10 I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you would have to go out of the world.

Luke 19: 9 -10 We’re to hang around sinners. 1 Cor. 5: 9 -10 We want them saved. 1 Tim. 2: 4 3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Application Something to pray about: God help us to see the condition of our neighbors around and us. Something to do: Set up a dinner, a lunch, a BBQ or plan a time to talk with your neighbor/s about their relationship with Christ.
Love Your Neighbors? Jn. 3: 16 -21 Conclusion: Being “in but not of the world” means that we see people in their spiritual condition and try to help them see the light. We can’t do this properly unless we ourselves have first answered the call of Jesus.
