The past year has been a real challenge for us all but…. A survey by One. Looking after wellbeing and keeping safe online The last few months at times have been a challenge for us all. We have put together some ideas and resources to help look after your wellbeing during COVID 19 and some ideas to help keep yourself safe online.
Looking after your wellbeing during COVID 19 • Keep on top of the news and what's going on but not to much • Stick to one news source or app – don’t over consume what is going on • Its important to challenge what you see– not everything you read or hear especially on social media is real • Keep connecting with people social media and gaming is great for this but of course safely. • Try and move your body each day – walking, running or try a fitness app • Follow a routine – set your day up similar to school, work to a timetable or a planner • Try and support and help others, this does wonders for your wellbeing • Have a bedtime routine and is your bedroom a digital free zone?

Keeping safe online • • Set a time limit for how long you want to be online, especially gaming Turn off notifications on your phone Try putting your phone on aeroplane mode and have breaks from social media and gaming if you can Keep connecting with people you no online, but be very careful adding or chatting to people you don’t know online If you see something online that worries you talk to a trusted adult If someone makes you feel uncomfortable online, report or block them and again talk to a trusted adult. Keep your account private if you can Keep your online world positive, keep it fun, keep it safe and be creative
