LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER If you see a co-worker doing something you know is unsafe, what shall you do? • A) Pretend you don't see it, because you don't want to provoke an argument. • B)Think to yourself, " Serves him right. It's his fault if he gets hurt. " • C)Step in and acknowledge the unsafe behavior by saying you're concerned about the person's safety. Then, you should suggest a safer alternative. • D) Tell your supervisor • The best answer is "C". – If you approach in a non-threating, caring way, you should be able to get your point across to your coworker. – Say "I don't want to see you get hurt. You could have an accident. I'll show you a safer way to do it. Of course, I expect you will do the same for me. After all, shouldn't we all watch out for each other? "

Correct it yourself or report it immediately. – Avoid rushing and taking shortcuts or taking risks to get the job done. – Stay focused. Distractions can lead to accidents. • Tips – Know how to do your job correctly and safely. If you are unsure how to perform a task, ask your supervisor. – Improve safety by sharing concerns and solutions. – Consider others, you have a responsibility to yourself , your coworkers and your family. – Set a good example for others. • Don't be a bystander when it comes to safety!
