Long Vowel Digraphs
Deep = Adjective; having a lot of space below or behind a certain point; reaching far Likable Adjective; like, easy to like. down or far=back. Example: Amira is a likable girl. Antonym: Shallow Example: The deep blue ocean is a habitat for different kinds of fish.
Play = Verb; to be in an activity that is fun. Example: The children play outside all day.
Lean = Verb; to rest your body by putting some of your weight on something. Antonym: sit or stand straight Example: They lean on the fence, so they can enjoy the view.
Glow = Verb; to shine with bright light. Example: The stars glow in the sky. They are beautiful!
Team = Noun; a group formed to play or work together. Example: I joined the study team, so they can help me with my studies.
Away = Adverb; in another direction or to another place. Example: Go away, this is my food.
Slow = Adjective; not moving fast. Antonym: Fast Example: OMG, The turtle is so slow!
Trail = Noun, the track, scent left by a person, or an animal that we follow, to find lost something or someone. Example: The dog follows the thief’s trail, so we can catch him.
