This is Alfie’s, 11, poem about Lockdown… Loving, laughter, lasting family time. Energetic, everlasting, exciting bike rides. Amazing, admirable, astonishing key workers saving lives. Revolutionary, rapid times, make us realise how precious everything is. Neighbourly, nice notes to ask how we are. Inspiring individuals helping others. Noisy, nutty, never-ending fun family time. Learning, loving laudable teachers who are there to help us. Observant rules we must obey to stay safe. Courageous, charitable communities come close. Knowledge is power to beat this disease. Delicious deep devouring chocolate cakes to make you feel better. Optimistic hope for our future. Wonderful Joe Wicks on TV to make us wibble and wobble like jelly on a plate. Never forgetting our NHS: our heroes.

Molly's poem Molly, 10, and her acrostic poem about home schooling… Home is now

Molly's poem Molly, 10, and her acrostic poem about home schooling… Home is now where school is, Our lives in a mess. More and more challenges every day, Education has changed; everything on the internet. Sitting in the sun; writing and reading, Computer always on, providing me lessons. Hoping it will be over soon. Open-minded, trying new things. Obeying the law, social distancing. Longing to see my friends again, Improvising and being creative. Negative vibes are not needed now, Good and positivity will show us the way. By Molly

Lockdown is a scary time. So I thought that I could write a rhyme

Lockdown is a scary time. So I thought that I could write a rhyme To put a smile on lots of faces, From around the world in lots of places. Lots of time with family, Fills me with enormous glee. Home school teaching from my mum, With my brother who’s a pain in the bum! Missing my bike rides and playing out, It really makes me want to shout. Nannies and grandads can’s see me, but safety really is the key. Watching movies on Disney Plus, Stops us making such a fuss. Eating ice cream in the garden Makes us burp, but we say pardon! This is a poem about lockdown by an eight-year old boy… Missing our friends and all our teachers, Watching You. Tube to see who features. In Joe Wick’s videos that set us challenges Let’s hope no one falls and ends up in bandages! One day, when this will come to an end, Hopefully we won’t have driven our mum round the bend! We will look back and cherish the thought Of the lessons we have learned and the ones we were taught!
