“ It is designed to scan moving and stationary objects in loading areas and to minimize the risks of accidents that may occur during operation. “ Dock Safe. Scan, consists combination of 3 dimensional and 2 dimensional laser scanning systems, safety controller and warning systems. Loading dock region is separated into two regions. 1. : Approach Region is away 9 -10 m from loading dock and approaching vehicle is dedected first time at the entrance of this region. 2. : Safe Region has the area of max. 6 x 6 dimension; moving or stationary people or objects are dedected in this region. As soon as a vehicle enters into approach region and someone is dedected at the same time , system starts to give sound and light warnings. 8
“ The Fundemental logic of the system (Why there are two regions? ) The speed of a vehicle moving at an average speed of 5 km / h is 1. 3 m / s. Therefore, assuming that the vehicle driver senses the warning and reacts within an average of 2 seconds, it will travel 2. 6 m in 2 seconds. Therefore, due to the braking distance and response delay time, the vehicle is detected at least 4 m away from the safe area and the risk of being warned at that moment reduces the risk to a much lower level and ensures that the safe zone area is fully used as 6 x 6 m. Otherwise, if the detection starts at the beginning of the safe zone, the effect safe usage point of the region comes back 4 m and becomes 2 m. . 9

Senaryo 1 This is stabilized situation that there is no dedected object even in safe region or approach region and a steady green light indicates that the vehicle can approach safely. 13
Senaryo 2 The vehicle has been seen in the loading area, but the green light will continue to illuminate as the vehicle has not yet entered the approach zone, indicating that the vehicle can safely approach. 14
Senaryo 3 The vehicle was detected in the approach area (green area) and no object was detected in the safe area. For this reason, the green light remains on, indicating that the vehicle can approach safely. At the same time, the yellow light flashes, which means “attention”, and “ vehicle is approaching” 15
Senaryo 4 The vehicle has entered the safe area and the scanning system has not detected a problem. Green light indicates that it can be approached safely, flashing yellow light indicates that the truck is approaching and caution is required 16

Senaryo 6 Regardless of the approaching vehicle, objects that remain immobile (fainting or unresponsive) for 1 minute in the safe area will be detected and provide awareness for both the truck driver and the surrounding personnel. 18
Senaryo 7 The vehicle is approaching and there is a personnel in the safe area (red area). However, since the truck has not yet entered the approach area (green area), the system will not detect a problem, and a green light will indicate that the vehicle can approach safely. Therefore, when there is an object in the safe area when the vehicle is absent, the alarm will not sound and the red light will not light up unnecessarily. 19
Senaryo 8 As the vehicle approaches, there are personnel in the safe area, the vehicle has just entered the approach area (green area) and the personnel is still in the safe area (red area). In this case, the system will give visual warning both with audible and red light. 20

ADVANTAGES ▰ ▰ ▰ When we taking into account the sense of warning, taking action, running away and braking, the approaching vehicle must be dedected beyond 4 meters of safe region. Since approaching vehicle can be dedected independently the entire area of 6 x 6 m is used as safe region.
