LO Researching methods for observing the Universe Expected
LO: Researching methods for observing the Universe. Expected progress: Will have researched at least 3 different methods used to observe space and the Universe. Will have stated what they have been used to discover as well as how they operate. Connect: Watch this clip showing images captured in space by the Hubble telescope. NOTE: Nebulae are clouds of dust and gas (mainly hydrogen and helium where new stars form) Supernova are the final stage in the life cycle of a star before it explodes. https: //www. youtube. com/watch? v=dz. Bh. B 1 h 9 B 8 I Better than expected progress: Will have compared advantages and disadvantages for each of the methods you chose to research.
LO: Researching methods for observing the Universe. (PASS TASK) TASK: There are different ways to observe the Universe; you can use optical telescopes, radio telescopes, unmanned space crafts and space landers, gamma ray telescopes and infra-red telescopes. Some of these telescopes are based on Earth whilst others are in space. Ø Use the word document attached with this power point and your own research to research any three methods that can be used to observe space and the Universe. (Choose some that are based on Earth and some that are based in Space. ) Ø Read page 7 of the word document to get detailed instructions.
