Welcome and Good News Welcome to our 5 th LKCS and APAA Joint Governing Body Meeting for the 2018 -2019 School Year. If you have not done so already, please sign the attendance sheet on the back table, get a free door raffle ticket and grab a plate of food from the kitchen.

The “Jazz Kidz Bop” Concert On Tuesday, March 12 th our 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th Grade LKCS students are scheduled to attend the “Jazz Kidz Bop” Concert at the Etherredge Center on USC-Aiken’s campus. Students must submit a signed field trip permission form to the Main Office in order to attend.

Early Release/Make-Up Days Friday, March 22 nd is a LKCS and APAA Make-up Day! It will be an Early Release Day. Student dismissal is at 11: 30 am. There will be no After-School Program or Title I Tutoring. Wednesday, March 27 th is our regularly scheduled Early Release Day. Nine Week Exams All LKCS and APAA Teachers will give Nine Week Exams on Wednesday, March 20 th thru Thursday, March 21 st. Please see LKCS Pre-Weekly Reports for specific tests dates. Also, APAA students should confer with their teachers on subject specific test times. The end of the 3 rd Nine Week Period is Tuesday, March 19 th.

Student Report Cards LKCS and APAA Student Report Cards will be distributed on Thursday, April 4 th. Parents and guardians are asked to check with their children for report cards. Please keep in mind, a teacher conference can be scheduled any time to discuss you child’s grades. Artistically Sweet Experience Tuesday, March 26 th at 6: 00 pm is our 8 th Annual Artistically Sweet Experience. Guests will tour the APAA student visual art exhibits and desserts on display. A silent auction will be set up, so guests can bid on their favorites. Proceeds will help support the purchase of supplies, materials and student activities.
