MACMILLAN NEXT STEPS CANCER REHABILITATION 3 Step Programme: 2 1 3 Recovery Programme: 1: 1 clinics with Allied Health Professionals to enhance recovery from the physical and psychological consequences of cancer Prevent Programme: Group activity, diet and positive psychology workshops and programmes to improve overall health plus prevent other health conditions Sustain Programme: Signposting, information, knowledge and skills to confidently self-manage in the community
TAKE CONTROL Health & Wellbeing Event • Free to attend • 3 Hour workshop • Local community venues on bus routes • Small groups of 12 patients • Can bring a carer if needs support • Countywide venues
Hope, Recipe For Health & Active Everyday • • • HOPE ‘Helping Overcome Problems Effectively’ – 2 day course Recipe for Health – 4 week programme for weight management incorporating a re-introduction to physical activity and management of cancer related fatigue Active Everyday – 6 week programme teaching correct form and movement and how to develop safe programmes for patients to continue exercising after the course has finished.
