To evaluate the growth progress of our students, from birth through send-off to Kindergarten, Little Lambs Academy adheres to the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards. LITTLE LAMBS ACADEMY EARLY LEARNING AND CARE • INFANT OPTIONS • TODDLER OPTIONS • PRE-3 K OPTIONS Infant and 2 T classes are offered for those families who have a loving adult able to attend with their child. Class attendance is not required for those families who utilize child care only.

Children in our INFANT PROGRAMS work on foundational skills in all realms of child development, preparing them for a world of learning opportunities. The teachers are experienced educators whose mission is to nurture, teach and care for your child in a cozy, loving environment, rich with experiential activities, and infused with a love of Jesus through prayer, infant Bible stories and songs. Children transition from Toddler to Pre-3 K programs shortly after their 3 rd birthday. Teachers and parents work together to evaluate readiness before moving children on to the next step in early childhood. For children who miss the September 1 st cutoff, our PRE-3 K PROGRAM offers a bridge between toddler class and 3 K, focusing on skills to help a child be successful in 3 K in the fall. As in all our other programs, students develop a lifelong love of learning by exploring their world together with caring teachers and other students. We promote the development of the whole child by learning through play and exploration, and focusing on character building, academic skills, social and emotional intelligence, and physical readiness, all built on a foundation of faith and love for Jesus! CORE PRE-3 K LEARNING Taking the first step into independent learning, Pre-3 K is the first opportunity for students to be dropped off at school. Social/Emotional Intelligence Focus: Learning to say good-bye to parent/caregiver and acclimate to independent learning, participation, following the direction of a teacher, transitioning from one activity to another, sharing, taking turns, cooperating, waiting turn Academic Focus: Colors, shapes, letter sounds, unit studies, literacy through stories, counting, raising their hand, drawing, name recognition, excitement for learning Physical/Play Focus: Emergent imaginative play, learning to function in a group setting, beginning writing, ball work, balance, running, jumping, hopping, galloping Spiritual Focus: Character development through Bible stories and the examples of Jesus, kindness PRE-3 K CHILD CARE Our Pre-3 K child care teachers are experienced educators whose mission is to love, nurture, teach and care for your child in a school-like environment. Child care wraps around the Pre-3 K class to meet the needs of working families. Parents can customize their child’s learning experience by selecting one or two class days. You can even start with one day and add a second day part way through the year.
