(1 -2 sentences) • Q: Quote Evidence: Provide direct text evidence to back up your claim. (1 sentence with page number citation in parenthesis) • E/A: Explain/Analyze the significance of this evidence and how it backs up your claim. This section should fully develop your point. (3 -5 sentences) • P: Proof of Thesis: Now, you close you paragraph by returning back to the essay thesis, and remind the reader of your overall argument. (1 sentence)
