If you could telephone anyone in the world – who would it be and why? What questions would you ask them? Write in full sentences describing who you would call, why you would call them and what questions you would ask. *Remember to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. Try using the following connectives to add extra detail to your sentences – because, so, also, but. * Today’s sound is ‘u-e’ as in ‘tube’. Find an empty tube or container Write 10 (or more) different u-e words (for example – mule, June, flute, ruler, cube) on small bits of paper. Put the pieces of paper into the empty tube or container. Pick out 5 words and try writing a detailed sentence for each of them or a short story using these words for an extra challenge. Try using a coloured pencil to highlight your u-e words. *Remember to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops as well as connectives to add extra detail. * Today’s sound is ‘aw’ as in ‘sawdust’ Some pet owners use a dust free sawdust inside their hamsters’ cage. You will need string, apples, bread and hard cheese (cut into small cubes) raisins, floral wire for the food to be threaded onto (if possible) and string to hang the bird kebab from a tree.
