HISTORY AUDIOBOOK PROJECT LO: TO RETRIEVE/RECALL MY LEARNING FROM WORLD WAR 1 AND CREATE A HELPFUL REVISION TOOL FOR MY PEERS
WORLD WAR 1 • Using suggested topics below; your task is to create a script that can be used to record a series of chapters to inform your peers of learning about the topic of World War 1. • This can then be used as a revision tool for KS 3 History examinations and even for helping future Year 8 pupils to understand the topics they will learn about. • There should be no more than 5 chapters to your Audiobook and they should be no more than 5 minutes each in length. Topics you might want to include: • Europe before WW 1 • Main causes of World War 1 • Life in the Trenches • Weapons of WW 1 • Medicine/ Surgery during the war • Shot at Dawn • Treaty of Versailles • Consequences of World War 1
HOW TO PRODUCE THIS LEARNING • You can produce a script that details what you might include in this audiobook/ podcast. • If you can use any of the apps suggested on the next slide, #maybe get your family to record a chapter each! Brothers/ Sisters/ Mums and Dads! • Use websites such as Doddle and BBC Bitesize to research your chosen chapters. • Perhaps you could put a creative twist on your delivery to make it engaging and enthuse younger historians to participate in their own learning!
