We have contests and events that help to develop these: • LDE’s : Leadership Development Events These are contests that are held in the fall each year they are centered around speaking events, agriculture FFA knowledge and parliamentary procedure. • Being able to communicate effectively and how to present yourself is a great confidence booster!

• CDE’s : Career development events These events are held in the spring and are designed to provide students with knowledge that will prepare them for specific agriculture jobs Many students chose to use the skills they learn in CDE contest in college and in their careers.

Livestock projects are a great way to teach students responsibility, organization, and sportsmanship. Many parents enjoy the process as well because they get to spend time with their children. The most successful individuals are generally those whose entire family is involved with their projects
