Diabetes üType 1 hereditary insufficient insulin can’t convert sugar üType 2 hereditary aging, excessive weight, poor diet produces insulin, doesn’t process efficiently
The NGSD is comprised of many parts and functions, but basically, it’s a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.
Parts Of The NGSD üThe capsule… RFID tags… The watch… ü How do these parts get into the body and function properly? ü How do they react with each other? üHow is the body not immune to these objects?
The NGSD Capsule Transmitter Data Chip Transformer Electric Current Nano-wires Piezoelectric Discharges Nano. Generator
Medical Breakthroughs need for our invention ü RFID ü “Pinhole” surgeries: to insert RFID tag into pancreas ü Stem Cells: how to make islet cells ü Molecular Assembly: for nano-parts
PROS ü It will basically eliminate type 1 diabetes ü Diabetics will never stress about having to take blood sugar ü Less money by Medicaid 1 of every 4$ given toward Medicaid is used for diabetes test strips, and meters CONS ü FDA would need to approve ü Criminal could intercept signals
Lauren Stanford: Our Inspiration 13 years old Lauren Stanford, a high school student from Plymouth, MA has been suffering from diabetes almost her whole life. Lauren has organized a group called “Got Islets: Lauren’s League for a Cure”. The group has raised thousands of dollars for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation since Lauren was diagnosed. Lauren was recently in Washington D. C. to talk about stem cell research in front of a large amount of U. S. senators.
Ending As you can see, our invention, the NGSD, is truly a bright hope for our future and will provide a way for people with type one diabetes to gain freedom from this horrible disease!
