LGHS School Goals for Improvement 1. Continue to develop and align core curriculum and assessments so that students have equitable access to high-quality instruction across the school. 1. Improve healthy balance in students’ lives by increasing and deepening implementation of cultural and diversity awareness, social-emotional learning, and wellness strategies. 1. Track and monitor data to drive instructional interventions to support students’ achievement of schoolwide learner outcomes.
LGHS Achievements & Action Items for Next Year Achievement Highlights: • • • Administered CAASPP Interim Assessments in English and Math Algebra Support pilot program successfully implemented before school, Monday‐Thursday Conducted a “critical skills” benchmark assessment across core science classes (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) Implemented “Document‐Based Question” assessments in Social Studies classes (World, US, Econ/Gov, AP) Vertical and horizontal curriculum and assessment alignment in World Language Electives Showcase featured high student achievement across all Elective pathways Team BELONG & Peer Education programs expanded SEL strategies and Cultural Diversity efforts Guidance held four parent info nights and an additional freshman transition night to support student success CANVAS: 2120 students, 19, 710 files uploaded, 771 discussions held, 870 media recordings CASSY: In addition to providing numerous student sessions and presentations, hosted mental health panel of experts for parent event in Nov 2019 Action Items to Target for Next Year • • Collaborating to implement common formative assessments in core courses across departments Collecting and reflecting upon assessment data to drive enhancements in instruction and targeted interventions Enhancing Cultural Diversity events and related educational programming for deeper impact Provide education to students and parents regarding impacts of social media to promote student safety and well‐being

Provide ongoing support in attaining high academic achievement through a variety of best instructional practices including collaboration around common formative assessments 1. Focus on relevant and engaging learning and school activities which promote healthy perspectives and increased involvement for students 1. Work together as stakeholder groups to balance stress and academic rigor for while increasing resiliency
SHS Achievements & Action Items for Next Year Achievement Highlights: • • Math department implemented CAASPP Interim Assessments English department crafted agreements on teaching media literacy and adopted No. Red. Ink grammar Science department received and implemented training in new lab technology (PASCO) for Biology, Chemistry and Physics and continued NGSS‐focused re‐design of those subjects Social Studies piloted and chose new textbooks for U. S. and World History (Pearson) Special Ed implemented executive functioning curriculum: skill development/transition to post‐secondary World Language worked with Special Ed to identify learning needs of all IEP students and received training in online resources from text publisher and Flipgrid CANVAS: 1354 students, 10, 812 files uploaded, 764 discussions held, 225 media recordings CASSY: 1063 sessions conducted, 11 classroom presentations, 4 guidance nights, moved to student center Action Items to Target for Next Year • • Use WASC findings to set goals and target interventions in classroom and school activities Collect and reflect on common formative assessment data to drive instructional interventions Address CHKS data as related to meaningful student and parent participation in school Continue to refine activities which emphasize balance between academic rigor and student wellness
