The veil Did not extend to the top – the glory (character) of God is seen, but not perfectly from the Holy Place The veil separates us from seeing God as he really is Ripped at the death of Jesus “We have, then, my friends, complete freedom to go into the Most Holy Place by means of the death of Jesus. He opened for us a new way, a living way, through the curtain---that is, through his own body. ” (Hebrews 10: 19, 20 – GN) “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace…” (Hebrews 4: 16, NLT).

Manna • “I am telling you the truth, ’ Jesus said. ‘What Moses gave you was not the bread from heaven; it is my Father who gives you the real bread from heaven. For the bread that God gives is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. ’ ‘Sir, ’ they asked him, ‘give us this bread always. ’ ‘I am the bread of life, ’ Jesus told them… ‘I am telling you the truth: he who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate manna in the desert, but they died. But the bread that comes down from heaven is of such a kind that whoever eats it will not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If you eat this bread, you will live forever. The bread that I will give you is my flesh, which I give so that the world may…What gives life is God's Spirit; human power is of no use at all. The words I have spoken to you bring God’s life-giving Spirit. ’” (John 6: 32 -63 - GN)

Manna Bread of life from heaven (Jesus’ words, life and character) is internalized and assimilated “We, however, have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2: 15 – GN).

“May they be in us, just as you are in me and I am in you…I in them and you in me, so that they may be completely one. . . ” (John 17: 21 -23 GNB)

The 10 Commandments “The Lord says, ‘The time is coming when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. It will not be like the old covenant that I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand led them out of Egypt. Although I was like a husband to them, they did not keep that covenant. The new covenant that I will make with the people of Israel will be this: I will put my law within them and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. None of them will have to teach a neighbor to know the Lord, because all will know me, from the least to the greatest. ’” (Jeremiah 31: 31 -34).

The lid “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God” (Romans 3: 25 KJV)

“A little girl once asked me. . . ‘Will you please ask the minister to speak easy words that we can understand? Will you please tell him that we do not understand large words, like "justification" and "sanctification"? We do not know what these words mean. " The little girl’s complaint contains a lesson worthy of consideration by teachers and ministers.

Are there not many who would do well to heed the request, ‘Speak easy words, that we may know what you mean’? Make your explanations clear, for I know that there are many who do not understand many of the things said to them. Let the Holy Spirit mold and fashion your speech, cleansing it from all dross. Speak as little children, remembering that there are many well advanced in years who are but little children in understanding. ” Counsels to Teachers 254 (July 6, 1902)

Richard B. Hays Many people have misread the book of Romans as a book that explains how we can legally get to heaven. This interpretation, however, misses the central question that Paul is answering in this book, and that central question is this: 'Can God be Trusted? '

The lid “God appointed him as a sacrifice for reconciliation, through faith, by the shedding of his blood” (Romans 3: 25 – New Jerusalem Bible) “God presented Jesus as the way and means of restoration, through trust established by the evidence of God’s character revealed when Christ died. ” (TJ)

At-One-Ment

“He loves us, and by his sacrificial death he has freed us from our sins and made us a kingdom of priests to serve his God and Father. ” (Revelation 1: 5, 6) “You have made them a kingdom of priests to serve our God, and they shall rule on earth. ” (Revelation 5: 10)

“The LORD says to his people, ‘I have always loved you. ’ But they reply, ‘How have you shown your love for us? ’” (Malachi 1: 2)

Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, who fought back with his angels; but the dragon was defeated, and he and his angels were not allowed to stay in heaven any longer. The huge dragon was thrown out---that ancient serpent, named the Devil, or Satan, that deceived the whole world. He was thrown down to earth, and all his angels with him. ” (Revelation 12: 7 -9 GNB)

“the prince of this world” (John 12: 31, 14: 40) “the powers that rule this world” (1 Corinthians 2: 6) “Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6: 10) “Keep us safe from the Evil one” (Matthew 6: 13)

“Out of one of these four horns grew a little horn, whose power extended toward the south and the east and toward the Promised Land. It grew strong enough to attack the army of heaven, the stars themselves, and it threw some of them to the ground and trampled on them. It even defied the Prince of the heavenly army, stopped the daily sacrifices offered to him, and ruined (or defiled) the Temple. People sinned there instead of offering the proper daily sacrifices, and true religion was thrown to the ground. The horn was successful in everything it did. ” (Daniel 8: 9 -12)

“It threw truth to the ground. ”

“Then I heard one angel ask another, ‘How long will these things that were seen in the vision continue? How long will an awful sin replace the daily sacrifices? How long will the army of heaven and the Temple be trampled on? ’ I heard the other angel answer, ‘It will continue for 2, 300 evenings and mornings, during which sacrifices will not be offered. Then the Temple will be restored (or cleansed). ’” (Daniel 8: 13, 14)

“He’ll take his place as a refiner of silver, as a cleanser of dirty clothes. He’ll scrub the Levite priests clean (or, “he will purify the priests”), refine them like gold and silver, until they’re fit for God, fit to present offerings of righteousness. ” (Malachi 3: 3)

“God uses us to make the knowledge about Christ spread everywhere like a sweet fragrance. For we are like a sweet-smelling incense offered by Christ to God, which spreads among those who are being saved and those who are being lost. For those who are being lost, it is a deadly stench that kills; but for those who are being saved, it is a fragrance that brings life” (2 Corinthians 2: 14 -16 – GN)

They “came back in great joy. ‘Lord’, they said, ‘even the demons obeyed us when we gave them a command in your name!’ Jesus answered them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightening…” (Luke 10: 17 -21)

“Do not let anyone deceive you in any way. For the Day will not come until the final Rebellion takes place and the Wicked One appears, who is destined to hell. He will oppose every so-called god or object of worship and will put himself above them all. He will even go in and sit down in God’s Temple and claim to be God. ” (2 Thessalonians 2: 3, 4)*

Jesus – High Priest “I glorified you on earth by completing down to the last detail what you assigned me to do…I spelled out your character in detail to the men and women you gave me. ” (John 17: 4, 6 – The Message) Humanity – Daily Priests “It is the duty of priests to teach the true knowledge of God. ” (Malachi 2: 7 – GN)

“It is the darkness of misapprehension of God that is enshrouding the world. Men are losing their knowledge of His character. It has been misunderstood and misinterpreted. At this time a message from God is to be proclaimed, a message illuminating in its influence and saving in its power.

His character is to be made known. Into the darkness of the world is to be shed the light of His glory, the light of His goodness, mercy and truth…The last rays of merciful light, the last message of mercy to be given to the world, is the revelation of His character of love. ” (COL pg. 415)
