OCR Level 3 Cambridge Technical Extended Certificate in Business 360 GLH – equivalent to one A level 5 units in total – 2 examinations Unit 1 The Business Environment Exam Unit 2 Working in Business Exam Unit 5 Marketing and marketing research. Coursework Unit 4 Customers and Communications- Coursework Unit 11 Accounting Concepts You will learn about the structure, ownership and functions within businesses. There will also be teaching on financial planning, business plan and external factors that affect businesses. This unit will cover the skills and understanding needed to work effectively within a business environment. This includes arranging meetings, working with business documents, making payments, prioritising business activities and communicating with stakeholders The unit has particular emphasis on the role of market research and how it contributes to marketing decision-making and the actions a business may take. In this unit you will learn the purpose, methods and importance of communication in business and the appropriateness of different forms of communication for different situations. This practical unit will help you develop the skills required to manage business accounts and finance. This unit is good preparation if you are interested in studying business or accounting at university
