Semicolons � Use a semicolon to separate two complete sentences that are not joined

Semicolons � Use a semicolon to separate two complete sentences that are not joined by a conjunction. › REMEMBER: The sentences MUST BE RELATED! Example: Bryce likes to read fiction books; Carlee likes to read non-fiction.

Semicolons � Use semicolons to separate items in a series when the items contain commas. Examples: I was born on May 4 th, 1999; my brother was born on May 5 th, 2002; and my sister was born on May 6 th, 2003. We will be visiting Fort Worth, Texas; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Destin, Florida.
