Lesson 42 Be Careful, Danny, Jenny and Brian are decorating the art classroom for Christmas. “Look at this yellow star, Brian and Jenny, ” says Danny. “Isn’t it beautiful? I’m going to put it on the ceiling over Mr Jones desk. ” “Let me get the ladder for you, ” says Brian. “I don’t need the ladder. ”says Danny. ” I think I’m tall enough. ” But he isn’t tall enough. The ceiling is too high. Danny climbs onto Mr Jones’ chair. “Almost…almost…”says Danny. He climbs higher on Mr Jones’ chair. “Danny, stop!” shouts Jenny. But it’s too late. “Help!” shouts Danny. He falls.
Mr Jones runs into the room. ”What was that loud noise? ” he asks. “Who shouted ? ” He sees Danny. ”Danny, are you all right? Are you hurt? ” “No, I’m not injured, ”says Danny. He’s lying on the floor. “My tail hurts a little, but it’s not seriours. ” Then they hear Brian say, very quietly, “Help!” “Where are you, Brian? I can’t see you!” says Mr Jones. “I’m under Danny, “ says Brian. Danny jumps up. “Oh, no!” he says. ”It’s my fault, Mr Jones. I climbed on your chair. I didn’t listen to their warning. ” “Brian, are you okay, ” answers Brian. ” I tried to catch Danny, but he fell on top of me. My arm hurts!” “Shall I call an ambulance? ” asks Jenny. “No, ” Mr Jones says. “But please call Brian’s mother. Tell her that we are taking Brian to the hospital.
