INDIVIDUAL TASK ANALYSIS The critical individual task analysis is the process you use to identify the task performance detail needed to develop efficient and effective individual training. An individual task analysis is conducted for each critical individual task, to identify all task performance specifications for that specific task. These specifications are concerned with how the task is actually performed, under what conditions it is performed, or how well the soldier should perform it. Task analysis data for critical tasks serve as the foundation for the design and development of efficient and effective individual education/training products and plays a major role in ensuring the relevance and validity of follow-on education and training.
