Definition of Character • is the seat of one’s moral being; the totality of man; includes your principles • displayed in the action of an individual under pressure • is the inner life of man • is the sum total of all the negative and positive qualities in a person’s life
What Character is Not: • is not what a person will ideally be in the future; character is now • is not only how a person acts • does not appear without pressure
What Character is Not: • is not only that which other people see in the external • is not limited to relationship between Christians
Do we see ourselves that God is not yet through with us (with our character)? Are we preparing for God’s way of developing us?

“God’s dealing” is the process in which the Lord himself will provide learning experiences and circumstances to help a believer when he lacks the discipline to develop a character.
