What is a Guru? In Sikhism, a Guru means religious teacher. This is a picture of Guru Nanak, the first Guru of the Sikh religion A Guru is regarded as having great knowledge, wisdom, and authority in a certain area, and who uses it to guide others (teacher) There have been 10 Sikh Gurus (1469 -1708).
