Consumer Rights With a partner choose one of the following scenarios and determine a plan of action to resolve the issue. Situation 1 You just bought a pair of jeans and as soon as you get home you realise that it is damaged. Situation 2 Situation 3 Your internet service is slowing down and at times it gets disconnected. This has been happening for two weeks now. A few months ago your family bought a new television. Suddenly, the picture is not clear anymore and is showing various shadows from both sides. 7 September 2015 3
Consumer Rights Introduced in 1962 by John F. Kennedy, the UNITED NATIONS GUIDELINES FOR CONSUMER PROTECTIONS was a great leap forward in recognizing and protecting consumers from misleading and unsafe products as well as giving consumer the right to voice their dissatisfaction to businesses. 7 September 2015 4

Activity ○ With your partners, develop a scenario where your assigned consumer right is put to use.
