LESSON 1 AND LESSON 2 The first story we are focusing on is The Tortoise & the Hare. It tells the story of the two animals having a race; the hare is cocky and arrogant because he knows he is fast, the tortoise is worried about losing but he tries his best anyway. You are to complete the tasks with a view to showing: a) You understand the story b) You understand the moral/s in the story c) You can now take this traditional (old style) story and twist it in to a fresh, modern version which people of your age will find entertaining and exciting. Use the resource sheet to support for inspiration but you can use a tablet/laptop/computer, your drawing/painting skills, toys, objects or anything else your imagination wants to, (either as a document, photo, whatever you choose to do!) so the teacher can see what you have done.

Question 9 A duologue is a scene which involves a conversation between two people. Come up with a duologue between the tortoise and hare at the START of the story (before the race). Then do the second duologue of them speaking AFTER the race. What are the differences?
