Objectives • (i) to determine a profound baseline and a relevant management approach for each pilot leskhoz and • (ii) to develop the unified system of monitoring and evaluation for pilot leskhozes. How: Participatory approaches in order to ensure motivation of local forest users and authorities and to capture the interests and ideas of the representatives of SAEPF and pilot leskhozes. © UNIQUE forestry and land use Gmb. Step wise approach Step 1: Agree on objectives and scope of the study with Forest Step 2: Meeting with Leskhoz staff, data collection, SWOT analysis, office visits - 0, 5 day each Step 3: Site visits in relevant areas (afforestation and potential investments) - 0, 5 day each Step 4: Community meeting (pasture committee, ail districts, JFM groups, to discuss on conflicts and management options, SWOT analysis) – 0, 5 day each Step 5: Site visits with community on options – 0, 5 day each Step 6: Joint workshop and definition of indicators 0, 5 day each Step 7: Eventually meeting with private sector and other stakeholders (if time allows) Step 8: Final feedback and presentation of preliminary results 04. 07.
