A multi-instrumentalist, Lenny is credited as playing most all of the music on his albums. Singer, guitar, bass, guitar, drums and keyboards, as well as producer.

- Early on in Lenny’s musical career he went by the moniker “Romeo Blue”. . - Only a month after shopping the recordings five major labels wanted to sign Lenny. Virgin Records subsequently signed him in 1989. - In 1985 Lenny met famed “Cosby Show” actress Lisa Bonet. Two years later the two were married. Much of his music early on was inspired by their relationship.
