2) Types of plan District plans Action area plans Subject plans • are the comprehensive planning of relatively large areas, usually where change will take place in a piecemeal fashion over a long period • are for the comprehensive, planning of the areas indicated in the structure plan for improvement, redevelopment or new development or combinations of these actions, starting within a period of ten years; • are for dealing with particular planning aspects in advance of the preparation of a comprehensive plan or where a comprehensive plan is not needed.
