Calculated Grades for Leaving Cert 2020 • In May Leaving Cert students completed the registration process and confirmed subject levels on a designated Calculated Grades Student Portal. • Since Mon 20 th July, students need to “opt in” through their student portal if they want to receive calculated grades • Students have until the deadline of 4. 00 pm on Mon 27 th July to “opt in”. • All students will have received an email and text from the Department of Education providing them with information on what to do. Leaving Cert 2020 CAO/ UCAS/EUNICAS • The Calculated Grades will issue to students on 7 September. • This will be in time for students who have applied through the CAO and the UK’s UCAS for college entry for the 2020/2021 academic year, as both the CAO and UCAS have agreed to extend their timeline to accommodate this new process. Please see the next slide for outline of dates relating to CAO • Many European Universities have now confirmed that they too will extend their timeline and accept results from Irish students later than anticipated including University of Maastricht (30 th September) and University of Groningen (no confirmed date yet)

CAO First Round Offers at 1. 00 Level 8 offers first followed by Level 6/7 Applications for Appeals open Receive results through Portal from 9. 00 am 18 th Sept 23 rd Sept Deadline for acceptance of First Round offers 1 st Oct Round 2 offers Accept this offer by 25 th Sept Round 3 Offers.
