PURPOSE OF THE MODULE As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, a large majority

PURPOSE OF THE MODULE As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, a large majority of Durham College’s dual credits were transitioned to a distance learning format. Through this experience, it has come to our attention that a large majority of our dual credit students require support to learn online. In response, Durham College developed an online training module to be delivered in the first week of the dual credit classes. The primary areas of focus were: • How to log in and navigate Durham College’s LMS • How to create structure in your day and preparing yourself for learning • Selecting devices • Additional technology requirements and internet access • Academic accommodations and expectations • Staying connected • Available supports
