East-Crimea Archaeological Expedition (July 2016)

On September 2, the school held a series of meeetings devoted to the day of solidarity in the fight against terrorism. The events were held among pupils of grades 5 -11. Representatives of the Student Council of the school prepared a presentation and told the children about the tragedy in Beslan and other recent terrorist acts around the world. They also discussed what each of us can do to prevent such disasters and to promote peace and friendship between people of different nationalities, faiths and worldviews. Day of Solidarity in Fight Against Terrorism (September 3, 2016) On September 3, pupils of 5 A and 5 B classes together with their class leaders took part in a charity event dedicated to the 12 th anniversary of the terrorist attack in Beslan, held under the slogan "Peace for Children!". Have you ever seen how 334 balloons soar up to the sky at the same time as the bells ring? Just as many white balls - according to the number of victims who died 12 years ago in North Ossetia were released into the Moscow sky on September 3. And then all the children, participants of the Action, left their drawings, made with colored chalks, on the park paths. Almost everyone wrote the word “PEACE!".

International Festival "Petrovsky Paradise" (September 9 -12, 2016) Poetic school theater "Meninas" under the direction of Irina Iosifovna Shorokhova and Olga Evgenievna Shorokhova became a laureate of the international festivalcontest of talented children and youth.

Independence Day of Mexico (September 15, 2016) Teachers and students of the school are not only honored guests, but also active participants in all significant events of the rich cultural life of the Mexican Embassy. The Department of Cultural Affairs invited young lovers of Spanish to participate in the celebration of Mexico's Independence Day. The school accepted the invitation with pleasure and prepared a wonderful gift for its friends - a small concert program dedicated to the Mexican culture.

Birthday of Cervantes (September 29, 2016) Traditionally, every year on this day, the children from the upper classes organize festive events for their younger friends, where they tell them about Cervantes's life and works, the history of creation and the heroes of his immortal novel "The Adventures of the Crafty Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Mancha" and also conduct fascinating quizzes. International Day of Older Persons (September 29, 2016) Students of the 9 th grade arranged a festive concert and a tea party at the Veterans Council No 9.

World Teachers' Day (October 5, 2016)

Day of the Discovery of America Day of the Spanish Nation (October 12, 2016) On October 12, 13 and 14 in our school there were various competitions and the quizzes devoted to this holiday. Teams of the 5 th, 6 th, 7 th and 8 th grades fought desperately for the victory, for the title of "the best connoisseur" of this historic event. There were both funny contests: to portray a parrot, a ship's captain, a frightened Indian, and serious questions related to important dates and people who took part in the sea voyage. Specially for students of the 5 th grade, the members of the Cultural Center prepared an exciting story about Columbus expeditions, accompanied by a colorful slide-show.

Visit to the school of the pro-rector of the University Alcalá de Henares (Spain) (October 18, 2016) The school was visited by Miguel Angel Sotelo Baskes, the Deputy Rector of the University of Alcalá de Henares, Daniel Jesús Saez Alvarez, Director of the Department of International Relations of the University, and Jose Aurelio Llanes, Education Adviser of the Embassy of Spain in Russia. During the visit, the honorary guests met with high school students and their parents to acquaint potential applicants with the history, structure and characteristics of the educational process of one of the best and oldest institutions of higher education in Spain, and to talk about the opportunities that the university provides to its students including students from other countries.

Drawing competition "Colombia and Russia: native little streets of the countryside" (October 18, 2016) International Day of Tolerance (November 16, 2016) Representatives of the School's Student Council prepared and conducted an oral journal devoted to tolerance.

Week of Science in Foreign Languages "Cervantes Readings" (December 5 -9, 2016) The "Cervantes Readings" are held with the participation and support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Russia, UNESCO, the Association of Foreign Languages Teachers of Moscow, the Sokol District Administration of Moscow, the Cervantes Institute in Moscow, the City Methodological Center of the Education Department of Moscow, the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of the Additional Professional education of the Department of Foreign Languages and Cultural Studies ‘Academy of Advanced Studies and Professional Retraining’, The Department of Romance Languages of the Moscow Pedagogical State University of the Institute of Philology and Foreign Languages.

114 young linguists from grades 5 to 11 demonstrated their intellectual potential in various branches of science and technology in different sections in Spanish and English.

Festival of Christmas songs in Spanish (December 9, 2016) Christmas meetings (December 21, 2016) The guest of honor of the holiday was Jorge Reinoso, the Cultural Adviser of the Embassy of Mexico in Russia, who delivered a congratulatory speech and introduced all those present to the traditions of the celebration of Christmas in his homeland. As a Christmas present to schoolchildren, Senor Reynoso presented a real piñata - a huge ball filled with sweets.

Interschool project "Theater marathon" of educational institutions of the UNESCO Associated Schools (March 29, 2017). Students of several theater groups of the Cervantes school took part in the Interschool project "Theater marathon" of the educational institutions of the UNESCO ASP aimed at promoting a dialogue of cultures and tolerance. Our young artists from collectives "Kolibri" (1 st grades), "Caramel" (3 -4 th grades) and "Good mood" (6 th grade) presented performances in Spanish based on the works of both Spanish and Russian writers and, having won the jury with their skills, talent and enthusiasm, were awarded a number of prizes.

IV International Readings named after Pablo Neruda (March 30, 2017) Readings were held with the participation and support of the Embassy of Chile and the Kingdom of Spain, UNESCO, the All-Russian Association of Russian Literature and Russian Language Teachers, the Moscow Region Department of Southern Medvedkovo, the Cervantes Institute, the Department of World Literature of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, the Department of Grammar and History of English of Moscow State Linguistic University.

School exchange program with the Colegio Base in Madrid (April 2017) In the capital the Spanish children and the teacher accompanying them were awaited by a very busy program, which began with a tour of the school, a master class in batik and a concert dedicated to the arrival of guests. For a week of their stay in Moscow, schoolchildren were in a city tour and visited various attractions. The parents also took an active part in the reception of the guests, they accompanied the guests to the circus, the zoo, the Bolshoi Theater and to fascinating quests, and also arranged a trip to Pereslavl-Zalessky for them.

Festive event dedicated to the birthday of the school. Visit of I. Ibanez Rubio, the new Spanish Ambassador, to the Russian Federation (April 20, 2017) This year we celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Spain and our country. 1977 was also a turning point for our school: it was from this year that active development of our friendly relations with the Spanish embassy began. During these years, all ambassadors representing the Kingdom in Russia visited our school. Ignacio Ibáñez Rubio was not an exception, he has recently assumed the authority of the Ambassador of Spain in our country.

The delegation of our distinguished guest included Alvaro de la Riva, Counselor for Culture of the Embassy of Spain in the Russian Federation, José Aurelio Lianese, Counselor for Education of the Embassy of Spain in the Russian Federation, Luis Boves, Tourism Advisor, Maria Lianares, Counselor for Information and Press, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cassero and Luis Garcia, the representatives of Maria Teresa’s Center, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the publishing house "Prosveshchenie", MSLU, RUDN university and media workers.
