Leander ISD Strength & Conditioning Camps & Skill Development Plan Pre-Arrival and Check-in During Camp/Skill Development § Athletes and staff must complete screening questions before arrival each day. § Daily chart of athletes and symptoms completed at arrival on Google doc. Athletes will stay home if they answered “YES” to any screening questions or if they do not feel well. § Hand Sanitizer available at check-in site. All athletes must sanitize their hands at check in. § Stagger report times of groups to allow complete check-in prior to each group arriving. Social distancing will be required at all times (6 ft apart). § No athletes allowed inside facility except for limited restroom use. § If anyone from group tests positive, entire workout group is removed for 2 weeks. § All athletes are required to have their own water bottles labeled and filled with water. Athletes are prohibited from sharing water bottles. § There will be no use of water coolers, water cows, or reusable water bottles. § Groups of less than 20 athletes and 1 coach. Limit of 15 athletes if sport specific activity. § Athletes must remain in same group as much as possible to limit exposure. § Adhere to social distancing guidelines during workouts. Ø 6 ft social distancing will be kept when not actively exercising. Ø 10 ft social distancing will be kept when actively exercising. § There will be no high fives, back slaps, or any other physical encouragement. § All equipment used must be disinfected after each use by athletes. § First 2 weeks back, conditioning should be lighter to avoid injury after 11 week stoppage. § Hand Sanitizer available for use at all stations. Athletes will use sanitizer before moving to next station. § No athletes allowed inside facility except for limited restroom use. Restrooms will be used by one student at a time. Departure § No athletes allowed inside facility except for limited restroom use. § All equipment disinfected. § Athletes must sanitize their hands when they leave for the day. § Athletes must leave as soon as workouts are over. No loitering. § Parents must remain in their cars during the pick up process. UIL COVID-19 Links UIL Strength & Conditioning Guidelines UIL COVID-19 Quick Guide UIL Sport Specific Training § If a positive case is identified among a participant in these summer activities, either staff or student, the group to which the staff or student was assigned and in contact with must be removed from the sessions while all members of the group self-isolate. If the confirmed individual regularly had close contact outside a single group, then all of the students & staff with whom the confirmed individual had close contact shall be removed from workouts for two weeks. § Any staff member or student who experiences any of the symptoms of COVID (listed below) should self-isolate until the below conditions have been met: § In the case of an individual who was diagnosed with COVID-19, the individual may visit when all three of the following criteria are met: at least three days (72 hours) have passed since recovery (resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications); and the individual has improvement in respiratory symptoms (e. g. , cough, shortness of breath); and at least ten days have passed since symptoms first appeared; or In the case of an individual who has symptoms that could be COVID-19 and does not get evaluated by a medical professional or tested for COVID-19, the individual is assumed to have COVID-19, and the individual may not return to work until the individual has completed the same three-step criteria listed above; or § If the individual has symptoms that could be COVID-19 and wants to return to work before completing the above self-isolation period, the individual must obtain a medical professional’s note clearing the individual for return based on an alternative diagnosis. § Any student or staff member living with someone who experiences any of the symptoms of COVID, whether they have a positive COVID test or not, should self-isolate for two weeks. If they do not experience any COVID symptoms during that period, they can return to summer workouts. If they experience symptoms, they must self-isolate until the conditions outlined above have been met. § Additionally, staff will follow all LISD health protocols in line with Texas standards for onsite employees.
