Lean Assessment Criteria • 5 S - A process and method for creating and maintaining an organized, clean, high-performance workplace. A conditioning discipline for any continuous improvement activities. • Visual Controls – visual indicators to manage and communicate goals, current condition, desired condition, abnormalities, response process, daily improvement and performance in real time. • Balanced Production – desired output is achieved consistently meeting pre-determined Takt Time using one piece flow techniques while responding quickly to abnormalities. • Standard Work – is a description of the way we perform work. It should reflect our current understanding of: The best combination of people and machines using the minimum amount of labor, space, inventory, and equipment.
