Leadership Philosophy I am person who believes in teamwork and everyone working together, but also allowing everyone to have time to work alone. I believe in not just leading by on the outside looking in but I believe in leading by on the inside looking in; by not viewing myself as higher than anyone but as being equal, equally involved, and being open to their ideas and insights, while still leading at the same time. Some of the things that I value in leadership are: community, collaboration, personal and group development, integrity, respect and advancement/achievement, which are things that I expect from myself as a leader and the people that I am leading. I view leadership as an opportunity to learn and grow together. A couple of things that I do not want or expect within my leadership are: attitude, inability to work together, or nothing being accomplished.
Leading! I lead because I feel that everyone in the world cannot be followers, someone has to lead. There is a great amount of need for leaders, more importantly, effective leaders. I lead because I consider myself to be a leader and not a follower. My vision is to be able to change the world and/or just simply have an impact on others through my leadership My mission is to encourage and motivate others to be leaders by leading by example.

Leadership in Action! By Le ad e l p m a x E
Faith and Leadership I believe that in leadership God should be inclusive; God should have control and be the center of your leadership! Should lead as God would want you to lead! Walk by faith and not by sight; Lead by faith and not by sight! “The Christian leader of the future is called to be completely irrelevant and to stand in this world with nothing to offer but his or her own vulnerable self” (Nouwen 30), this helps me to know that it is not about my self, or my status, or my relevancy but to do what God put us on earth to do. Nouwen helped me in my leadership by knowing that it’s not about individual heroism, and to not try and do things on my own. Also that I should always remember to be a servant leader (51 -70). Nouwen taught me how to apply Christian leadership to my leadership practices and roles and that when it comes to the idea of being led, that I should not try and be powerful, and that I should let others and be open for others to lead me places that I may not want to go (71 -93).
Faith and Leadership cont. “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Here I am Lord, Send Me!” - Isaiah 6: 8 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. ”- Proverbs 16: 3 “For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand says to you. Do not fear, I will help you. ” – Isaiah 41: 13
