What is the LEAD Conference? Leadership Experience and Development (LEAD) conferences offer students and advisers exciting opportunities to develop their skills and grow as leaders. These rewarding weekend meetings are designed to encourage interstate communication among student leaders and advisers, strengthen leadership skills, and prepare those attending for leadership roles on the local, state, and regional levels - all at an affordable cost!
Why would someone attend a LEAD conference? Students learn about: Advisers gain: Combating prejudice, bullying, drugs, alcohol, and depression Continuing education certificates (CEUs) Idea sharing and networking Professional development Project planning and fundraising Networking opportunities Community service projects Skills for managing student activities Team building Practical classroom skills Healthy lifestyles. Schedule (see information sheet) Wednesday (11/11)– Travel (no school) from Boston Airport (Parent dropoff) Thursday (11/12) – Tour of Grand Canyon and Navajo Reservation Viator Travel Company – Tour Guide (Tempe, AZ) Transported by Van Friday (11/13) – 9 am – 2 pm Phoenix Zoo and surrounding area 3 pm – 11 pm Conference (Time for dinner on own) Saturday (11/14) – Conference (Time for dinner on own) Sunday (11/15) – 730 -1030 am 1030 Conference Travel Home to Boston airport (Parent pickup)
