Roles and Responsibilities WBS Managers (Project Managers) Reports to Systems Manager and Deputy Systems Manager Plan and manage the design, construction, installation and commissioning of their respective WBS systems Participates in project planning, scheduling and cost estimating Approve all Level 4 change control proposals Ensure all work is planned and executed in accordance with SLAC and LCLS ESH and ISEMS procedures Identifies potential hazards and ensures that appropriate hazard mitigation measures are implemented Coordinates review with relevant SLAC Citizen Committees Prepares technical scope and specifications of work to be performed Assist Purchasing in evaluation and selection of qualified bidders Reviews and approves submittals, shop drawings and RFI’s Conducts regular and frequent job site inspections Conducts post-mortem review and lessons learned to develop suggestions for improvements April 20, 06 Construction Organization & Processes David Saenz saenzd@slac. stanford. edu
