Roles and Responsibilities Systems Manager and Deputy Systems Manager Report to Associate Project Director Conduct design reviews Responsible for overall project planning, scheduling and cost estimating for WBS baseline Manage CM/GC, Turner Construction Co Manage Change Orders with Procurement Integration Management Team Approve all Level 4 change control proposals Present change control proposals to Configuration Control Board Serve as a board member of the Configuration Control Board Ensure all work is planned and executed in accordance with SLAC and LCLS ESH and ISEMS procedures Line responsibility for execution of the work to be performed safely, on-schedule and under budget Oct 12, 2006 Construction Organization Bob Law rlaw@slac. stanford. edu
Roles and Responsibilities- CF UTR Group Leader Report to Systems Manager and Deputy Systems Manager Plan and manage CF construction, installation and commissioning CF Liaison with SLAC ES&H, Area and Facility managers Participate in project planning, scheduling and cost estimating Manage Field Change Orders (FCO) with Procurement Ensure all work is planned and executed in accordance with SLAC and LCLS ESH and ISEMS procedures Identify potential hazards and ensure that appropriate hazard mitigation measures are implemented Coordinate design and impact review with relevant SLAC Citizen Committees Prepare technical scope and specifications of direct contract work to be performed Assist Purchasing in evaluation and selection of qualified bidders Review submittals and RFI’s Conduct regular and frequent job site inspections Conduct post-mortem review and lessons learned to develop suggestions for improvements Oct 12, 2006 Construction Organization Bob Law rlaw@slac. stanford. edu
Roles and Responsibilities University Technical Representative (UTR) Reports to CF Field Construction Group Leader and CF Engineering Group Leader Assist in design, specification, and scheduling of direct procurements and direct contracts Review site specific safety plans, job safety analyses and relevant material safety data sheets prior to start of work Ensure permits and training have been obtained Determine competent person has been designated Provide oversight for high-risk activities Manage the execution of the work, ensuring that technical specifications defined are met and that work is being performed to meet project expectations Conduct regular job site inspections Review and approve SLAC specific submittals, shop drawings and RFI’s Inspect and accept completed work in cooperation with SLAC Building Dept.
