LARIMER COUNTY: ENGINEERING CR 72 PROJECT MAP & OVERVIEW • Reconstruct and Pave 3 miles of CR 72 • Roadway Typical Section to match previous Owl Canyon phases to the east with 40 feet wide pavement • Super elevated curves for design speed • Straighten horizontal curves in the west end • Re-striping Hwy 287 and shifting the intersection 125 feet east • Improve Sight Distance at intersections • Improve Drainage Crossings

LARIMER COUNTY: ENGINEERING CR 72 FROM US HWY 287 TO CR 21 – TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION ROAD • See Special Provision 621 • Temporary Construction Road: • Must facilitate 2 lanes of traffic for general public use while construction of final subgrade and drainage crossings are ongoing • Can be built in separate phases • Cross Sections in Plans show the temporary road in red linetype generally on the CL Station Left side of road • Includes all earthwork, subgrade prep, shifting existing surface material onto new temporary platform (min. 6 inch thickness), and temporary drainage culvert extensions associated with the initial construction of the temporary road • To be paid 1 Lump Sum for project based on percentage of completed portions at a time • Temporary Construction Road Maintenance: • Estimated to be needed about once per month • Paid by the Square Yard for each completed operation • Dust Palliative required (see Special Provision 209 and 621) • Paid separately by the Gallon

LARIMER COUNTY: ENGINEERING CR 72 FROM US HWY 287 TO CR 21 – CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC CONTROL • Roadway to remain open and passable to all traffic including trucks at all times • One lane flagger operations are allowed during daytime working hours for deeper Over-Ex areas, Drainage Crossings, Temporary Road Construction and Maintenance • Approx. 25 residences within 3 miles • Message Boards to be placed as noted locations in Special Provisions Section 630 • 2 VMBs in place for project duration paid for by the Each • Pilot Car is anticipated for building the Temporary Construction Road and during its recurring Maintenance • Snow removal on CR 72 Temporary Construction Road • Provided by LC Road & Bridge

LARIMER COUNTY: ENGINEERING CR 72 FROM US HWY 287 TO CR 21 – ADDITIONAL PROJECT INFORMATION • Pavement Section: 7” HMA on 9” ABC Cl 5 on 12” Cement • HMA Binder 64 -22, up to 20% RAP in all 3 lifts • Cement Treated Subgrade at 4% • Earthwork • • Separate tabulations for ultimate roadway and temporary construction road broken out per mile CAD drawings available for reference Majority of cut is in west mile where re-alignments are planned Two zones of Over-Excavation needed to maintain 3’ of separation between top of subgrade and claystone or sandstone material (see notes on Cross Section Plans) • Drainage Crossings • 15’ x 4’ Precast Box Culvert with Cast in Place Headwalls/Wingwalls • 13 RCP Culvert Crossings varying in size and 7 Driveway/Access Road Culverts • Will need to build structures one half at a time for traffic – see CBC Phasing Plan • Guardrail • 4 runs at 2 site locations over those drainage crossings • 7’ steel posts with synthetic blocks and MGS (31” height) per CDOT M Std • Cattle Guard at Owl Canyon Trail intersection • Reset existing steel grill on top of new precast concrete base (see notes Plan Sheet 50)

LARIMER COUNTY: ENGINEERING CR 72 FROM US HWY 287 TO CR 21 – CONSTRUCTION PERMITTING • State Stormwater Discharge Permit • LC Engineering will obtain and hold permit during construction • Contractor will be named on permit, hire the ECS, and meet permit requirements during construction • CDOT Permit for Re-striping on US Hwy 287 • Convert dual northbound passing lanes to exclusive decel/accel lane and one through lane • LC will complete ROW application • MHT will be needed from Contractor • CDOT Permit for placing Construction Signage and VMB in US Hwy 287 ROW • Contractor to obtain • Demolition Permit from LC Building Dept. for Abandoned House on Old Spence Property • Contractor to obtain • Asbestos Containing Material to be abated and removed by Certified Asbestos Abatement Contractor prior to demolition/removal of house and camper • Terracon Reports posted with bid documents for additional information • Building Permit for Field Office Trailer • Contractor to obtain • Electric and Internet service also needed
