The Role With an up-to-date knowledge of UK culture, English Language Assistants are ideally placed to help students develop conversational skills and understand UK culture. They can also revitalise the skills of language teachers too.

Section 2: Eligibility This section covers specific programme eligibility. • At all stages the audience should be advised that there is general programme eligibility, and specific additional requirements per country. Am I eligible? Eligibility criteria vary depending on where you want to teach, but in general the criteria below are valid for most applicants: • Native Level English • Meet the language requirement for the country you wish to apply to • Have a UK / Irish or EU Passport • Have completed at least three years of your secondary education in the United Kingdom • Have completed at least 2 years of University level study • Must be willing and eligible to apply for an International Child Protection Certificate.

POINTS TO REMEMBER • Remember this is a job application • Countries requiring video interview should be selected as your first choice • Please tell us about any additional requirements (disability, medical factors, dependents, etc. ) at the point of application
COSTS You get paid – there is no programme fee. You’ll always need to cover: • Travel Insurance • Medical Insurance • Police check (£ 60) In most countries you’ll need to cover: Accommodation Travel costs Visa Vaccinations
HOW TO APPLY Online application form • Asks for a university/employer reference • Following the application submission, some candidates will be invited to complete an online video interview Deadline is 15 February 2019 for all countries Check internal university deadlines – likely to be earlier
