APPLICATION SUBMITTAL Ü The application and all required documents are submitted through the Reclamation Specialist to the Land Protection staff attorney for review and routing through the approval process.

MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT Ü If the application is approved a memorandum of agreement (MOA), which outlines the conditions of the project, will be drafted. Ü The MOA will then be sent to the governmental entity to be signed by the authorized individual. Ü The conditions are outlined in the fact sheet under the heading “FINE PRINT”.

HOW LONG IS THE AGREEMENT VALID? Ü The site must be properly closed (covered with soil) no later than 120 days from the date material is first placed at the site or 15 days after the last load is delivered to the site, whichever comes first.
